On a business front.....

I am soo behind!!

I guess I shouldn't complain too much as the reason I ma behind is that we have been super busy! YAY!!!

We have been adding some new pieces and I am going to be overhauling the website next week(gotta prepare myself for that undertaking! haha) so check here http://www.blackmountaintrading.com/ for updates!

I am now a member of the Etsy Interior Design Team! I am so excited and am looking forward to getting know the ladies of the team. I have been bebopping through some of the shops and Whew I am in the company of some very talented ladies for sure!!

~~15 Years~~

Well it is official...Craig & I have been married 15 Years!

At risk of repeating myself here but..it is amazing to me just how far we have come together. From 2 19Yr old kids getting married, setting up house, and not having a clue!!! To 2 34Yr olds with 2 marvelous children and our own business.

Tomorrow we have reservations at the Melting Pot and I am so excited. It has been forever it seems since we have been there and I am sure it will be as yummy as ever!

The kids will be at their Grandparents Sat/Sun so we will have time to ourselves which will be nice too! It is funny, we both work from home but it seems somedays we barely see each other, I mean I am at the computer all day and he is in the shop building away. Ppl always say "Man y'all spend so much time together--how do you stand it?" well we happen to love the time we are together and feel very Blessed to be able to do it!

Speaking of Biz..it has been picking up more and more. The guys are going to be started on the shop soon and they are like kids in a candy store ahahah
I am thinking this will be an awesome growth move for us and am looking forward to see how it turns out!

I caught the creative bug again...

Yippeeee it's about darn time!

A friend called and said she has a baby shower coming up this week would I make her a soap dispenser like I did before? Well of course! Plus I was on a roll so I made a card as well :) :)

The new little one's name is Jack so I added a J to the tag and the card to make it a little more personalized.

It's raining Woohoooo!! We have been so dry lately that it is terrible! All the lakes are at all-time lows, the grasses and trees look so sad. It makes my heart smile to listen to all the rain pounding on our tin roof today!

February Already!

I simply can not believe it is already FEBRUARY--The month of Love!

We have a few things going on this month. We are branching out and getting a booth at Lakewood 400 the weekend of the 15th. This is exciting yet a tad scary for me as I hope that the 3 days I am there are worth the time and energy it is taking us to get items ready. We normally do not make items ahead of time to sell as most are custom-made but this time I will need all sorts of items to take with me to sell as well as giving out cards and info! Keep your fingers crossed for us! :)

I also just sent in an ad to Southern Living Mag!! It has been my fave magazine for years(well if you don'tcount Cosmo!) and just mailing the ad for our company to them gaveme chills! It is definatly a HUGE Step for us!!

Our 15th Wedding Anniversary is the 20th!! 15 years!! I am still in shock at times I think haah However (gonna get sappy here for a minute) I have to admit I am more in love with Craig now than ever! I mean sure I loved him when we got married, but we were so young then and I love the fact that we have grown so much since that day back in 1993. We have grown as a couple, as a family and as indiviuals. I still miss him when he is gone and I still get that little fluttery feeling when I look at an incoming call and it is him! He is truely the Love of my Life and I count my blessings each day for him!

I found some old photos the other day of when we were dating...I will share them as soon as scan them. The kids still can't stop laughing!!

We got the kids Valentine lists and decided to try something different this year to give for treats....what is it?? Well check back the end of the week and I will have some photos! :) :)

Long time no see...

Been a little while since I have updated this.

Sadly my Grandmother passed away recently and that was the 1st time the 2E's have been around a burial. There were alot of questions and tears but as Emma said "We know Grandma is better off now because you can tell she looks like she isn't sick anymore!"

We have been making some business changes and so far so good! We have been super busy which is good! I am so excited about some of the new venues we are moving into and cant wait to see what the upcoming months bring!

Music, Murderer, and Mart Time!

Today has been Music Day for me. My Zune has been having some technical difficulites and I finally figured them out & am back on track! DLing and Uploading with a vengenence. Gotta have my Tunes!!

I have been researching songs and WHEW it makes me feel old!! Did you know that Nirvana's "Smells like Teen Spirit" is #1 on more than 20 Top 100 Rock Song Lists??

I am pretty open when it comes to music..so needless to say getting my Zune in some order is a hassle...Thank Heavens for the Shuffle Button hahaha

They found Meredith Emerson-the missing hiker. Ms.Emerson was such a beautiful young woman and I am sad that her life was ended so brutally. May her family have a little bit of piece now that they can lay her to rest.

They have her murderer in custody and he is a major nutcase!! A major scary part of this is a few months ago Craig was walking behind the house and came across a campsite. Well some of his dogs that were with him messed up the camp a little as there were cats/food around there. Come to find out..the camp belonged to the killer! Thank Heavens he wasnt there at the time!!!

All the kids have been talking about it at school as it all happened not far at all from our small town. They have been asking all types of questions but I am hoping that this will give them some sort of caution at wondering around in the woods. Kids have to be kids but there are bad people everywhere unfortunatly!

YAY--It's time for Mart!! We are headed to Atlanta on Friday to see what we can find at mart. www.americasmart.com I love Market times! We get lots of ideas and I always seem to find good deals on all sorts of items *angel*
We are going to be doing some scouting this trip because we are talking about getting a booth there in either July or next Jan. I guess we will see!!!

Ever had "one of those days?"



Well I have had a few of them lately!! It seems I have so much going on yet I feel as I get nothing accomplished. On top of that I am sick ggrrrr Makes one want to crawl back in the bed(I wish ahahha)



Anywho--as per my "Get Organized" Mantra this month I have been going through photos on my computer getting them in order..here are a few of my faves I have stumbled across(it's kinda like finding that sweet note stuck on a book that you received years ago from someone you love--makes you fall for them all over again!!)
